What is Mixterio?
A desktop DJ engine. It analyses a folder of your own audio, composes full sets you can read before you play them, and performs them at one locked tempo with every transition rendered and graded before it plays.
Does it replace a DJ?
No. It replaces the part of the job that is bookkeeping: knowing your library, finding pairs that work, and holding a night together while you do something else. A DJ reading a room and taking a risk is not what this is for.
Can it mix a track it has never heard?
No, and that is deliberate. A track has to go through one analysis pass first. That pass is what makes a graded transition possible, and it is the honest cost of the approach.
Does it work with streaming services?
No. Mixterio works from audio files on your own disk. That also means it does not depend on a venue network at midnight.
Do my files or my library get uploaded?
No. All of the listening and all of the mixing happen on your machine, and your audio never leaves it.
How is the accuracy measured?
On public benchmarks, with half the data held out, and published even when a number was against us. Every figure has a per-track results file behind it, and anyone can check it by running the app you install over the same public audio and recomputing the table.
How does the analysis compare to my current DJ software?
On the public benchmarks we publish, our key detection scores above the strongest published academic figures and our beat and downbeat tracking match the published state of the art. Structure detection, measured at the operating point and decode rate the app runs, is level with our own Foote reproduction at the strict tolerance and 0.070 behind it at the lenient one; the numbers and caveats are on the board. Where a widely used DJ platform publishes no figure of its own, the board shows our measurement of it on the same tracks, labelled as ours, with the per-track results kept.
What does it cost?
The free tier covers one folder of up to 100 analyzed tracks with unlimited sessions of up to 60 minutes each, and the full engine. Pro is $12 a month or $89 a year. A limited Founder Lifetime licence is $199 once.
Is there a trial?
There is no countdown clock. The free tier is permanent, bounded by library size and session length rather than by time.
Which platforms?
Windows first, macOS on Apple Silicon next. Linux is not supported by us; if the community builds an AppImage we will link it.
Does a licence check ever stop the music?
No. Licences activate once and verify offline afterwards, with a grace period, and a licence problem never silences audio during a set.
What happens when it cannot find a good next track?
It tells you. The quality floor does not get lowered to make a set longer. If carrying on means taking a weaker transition, you see that on screen rather than only hearing it.
Which music does it handle best?
Techno, hip-hop, jazz and ambient have been tuned and listened to properly. Everything else runs on the same quality gates without having been through the same listening sessions.
